Spring and Summer Trends
This year's trends will not stray too far from last year's, so you'll be able to wear your old favorites without violating your fashion sensibilities.

Of course, the newest styles for spring and summer will show some variation on last year's most popular designs, and we'll continue to see lots of layering and fun eclectics. Here's a list of early trend predictions to ponder as spring fever begins to strike:
• Turquoise and coral will be back. Look for slightly smaller turquoise chunks and smoother beads, and chunky red and pink corals.
• Necklaces will be long and layered, both in simple chains and beaded strands. We'll see more gold tone metals than we have in past years.
• Brooches will continue to be popular because of their flash and individuality. Continue to keep an eye out for great vintage brooch finds, and don't be afraid to pick up something more novelty than

sparkle (think little pink plastic poodles or sultry retro kitties). Also watch for the upcoming cameo craze (article coming soon!).
• Earrings will stay long and dangly, and yes, chandeliers will continue to play a big role in jewelry fashion. I predict we'll see more gold-tone metals in earrings, which will compliment this summer's fabric colors.
• Speaking of colors, we'll see two distinct palettes this year. First, the exotic, bright colors of India will be prominent, accented beautifully with those gold-tone metals. Get ready for lots of bright pinks and fuchsias, blues, yellows and greens. The second trendy palette will consist of earth tones, influenced by the rustic and tribal styles of Africa. Look for neutral-tone animal prints, leather and suede, and tribal style beads in clay, bone, horn, and the like.
• Bangles and cuff bracelets will gain popularity in the coming seasons. As with necklaces, don't be afraid to layer! Keep an eye out for pseudo-bangles or cuffs that open and close with a hinge for increased comfort and more accurate sizing.
